ABOUT THE BAND
Formed in 2008, The Mike Lucci Band is a seasoned five-piece blues-based American roots group from Richmond, Virginia, with more than 400 live performances across the region. Blending blues, rock, and Americana with elements of soul, classic rock, and subtle psychedelic textures, the band is known for dynamic, improvisation-driven live shows that keep audiences engaged from the first note to the final encore.
Drawing inspiration from legends such as Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy and Etta James along with modern torchbearers like Michael Burks, Beth Hart, James Harmon and Bettye Lavette the band honors tradition while pushing into fresh musical territory.
The band has appeared at major regional events including the Roanoke Blues Festival, Williamsburg Blues & Jazz Festival, and the Blue Ridge Blues Society BBQ Festival. They twice represented their region at the prestigious International Blues Competition in 2011 and 2013.
They have also shared the stage with nationally recognized acts including Lil Ed & The Blues Imperials and Rick Estrin & The Nightcats.
Known for their four-vocalist lineup and the commanding presence of lead singer Shelly Thiss, The Mike Lucci Band delivers authentic roots music with professionalism and soul.
